Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology

The training of the candidate registered for Bachelor of Medical Laboratory technology course is aimed at equipping the candidate to carry out all the routine and modern sophisticated diagnostic procedures in a modern laboratory. A person qualified in BLMT can get job as Laboratory Technician in hospital and pathology labs.

Training
For Practical Training the students are posted in various labs and are engaged in day today work with senior technicians under supervision of pathologists. Following major laboratory disciplines are included in the syllabus in addition to basic sciences.
Biochemistry.
Microbiology including Bacteriology, Mycology, Parasitology, and Virology.
Pathology including Morbid, Anatomy, Histopathology. Cytology and Immunopathology.
Hematology including Blood Transfusion and clinical Pathology.
