Hospitality frequently refers to the hospitality industry, which includes hotels, restaurants, casinos, catering, resorts, membership clubs, conventions, attractions, special events, and other services for travelers and tourists. Hospitality Industry is fast growing and dynamic. The supply of quality professionals for the challenging tasks and careers in this Industry is below the demand.

The Vijayalakshmi Institute of Hospitality Sciences was established in the year 2004, with the core values of Commitment, Co-operation, Communication, Discipline and Professionalism. Vijayalakshmi Institute of Hospitality Sciences College offers a three-year Bachelor of Hospitality Science (B. Sc. (H.S.)) Degree programme and is affiliated to Mangalore University, Mangalore. The Institute is located in the Pandeshwar Campus of Srinivas Group of Colleges, in the heart of the coastal city of Mangalore well connected by all modes of transportation.
