Basic Course in Desk Top Publications

It is a one year vocational course. Students will learn to use Microsoft Publisher 2002, or Adobe Premiere, to create a wide variety of interesting publications. The course begins by creating publications used for promotional purposes, such as flyers, posters,
and business cards, and then learn how to create publications such as merged letters used in mailouts, business proposals, and long documents such as novels. Students learn to create brochures and pamphlets, including an insert for a CD case and a menu, and then learn how to create forms that gather information for a variety of purposes, such as application forms and questionnaires.
