The college offers a number of Honours & pass courses at undergraduate level, one of the course is BCA. This course is offered by the department of Computer Science of the college.

The Department of Computer Science and Application offers a full time B.Sc course with honours in Computer Science and Computer Application (BCA).

The department also collaborates with the departments of Commerce and Dept. of Biotechnology of the college to prepare the students of these departments on computer related papers.

The college was originally affiliated to the Calcutta University, then to the Gauhati University and in 1994, when the Assam University was established, it became affiliated to the latter. Today, it is one of the leading colleges under Assam University imparting education in all three faculties - Arts, Science and Commerce.
