Business Management for the Officers of the Armed Forces

-Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), Ministry of Defense, Government of India, New Delhi have entered into an agreement to launch the second batch of the six month- programme for the training of the officers of Armed forces who are about to retire. The programme aims at delivering the required inputs on the managerial theories and practices and develops skills necessary to manage the corporate world. The officers, undergoing this intensive programme, will be trained in all-round management theories to combat the corporate warfare.

This is a full time programme for six months and is broadly divided into four terms. During the twenty-four weeks, the participants shall study courses made up of three hours sessions and will work on a project. They will study functional area subjects along with the general management inputs. The programme will follow an interactive learning methodology. Cases and interactive lectures in the form of discussions and assignments will be extensively used to facilitate learning

The first batch of this programme has successfully completed the programme and the participants have been placed in many companies all over India as well as abroad.
