In tune with the growing global trend of extending conventional University instructional mode to online, self learning, distance education methodology, Anna University has created the Centre for Distance Education. Through this initiative Anna University aims to impart quality technical professional education that would provide competitive edge in current global business environment. In this context, in addition to providing technical knowledge development, the courses will enable hard and soft skills development in order to meet multiple real world corporate world challenges. This requirement gains even more importance in the current scenario, with ever increasing need for professionally qualified and trained personnel in areas of Computer applications and Business Management. Keeping this in mind, the Centre has launched professional MBA, MCA and M.Sc degree programmes through the distance education mode from January 2007.
