The course in Vermitechnology is offered by the Department of Zoology. Being one of the oldest departments to be established right from the inception of the Institution, it strives to promote whole round development of students by inculcating spirit of inquest, discipline and adventure through various academic and co curricular activities like “Species” an annual intercollegiate subject festival, inquiry- a research publication brought out by the final year students of Zoology every year, a departmental newsletter, Earn while you learn scheme, Green Army –The environment cell of the university (See details under Clubs and Associations). The department also runs two additional courses-UGC sponsored Certificate, Diploma and Post Diploma courses in Pollution Abatement Technology and Certificate course in Vermiculture.
