The Certificate of Competency in Power Distribution programme is a six months programme offered by IGNOU. This is a distance learning course. The programme was started in the year 2009 by NPTI(ER) in Durgapur along with the other Establishmnents. The programme is mainly for the
people who are Electricians, Tradesmen or at least 8th pass candidates. The main target of the programme is to train and asses & certify the skill & competencies of electrical technicians and enhancing their qualities & productivities through competency-based training & ensure a better industrial education linkage. The programme is conducted every year in the months of January & July. The last date of submitting the application form is 30th November & 31st May
