The opportunity to create collaborative advantage exists in the various working relationships but requires the development and use of interpersonal, leadership and management skills.
This course enables the participant to interact with the mentor with a goal to increase each participant's abilities to lead and manage teams and partnerships. Many facets are used to help participants understand their present strengths and abilities, then instructed and coached on avenues to pursue for growth.
-Program Description:
Leading and Managing use a modular approach to step outside your work situation and see how you affect your peer groups.
Each module discusses an area of management and helps to use the fundamental principles of human behavior to encourage employees to serve their own values while also serving the goals of the department and organization.
Using a pragmatic approach, the course explores and critiques many current approaches to managing people, using case studies & role-plays.
-Course Structure:
Classroom Component: This core component, spread over 6 months, consists of 60 instructional hours.
Campus Component: The in-campus component covering 5 days.
Attendance: 66% attendance in each module separately will be mandatory for the certification and will not be waived under any circumstance.
