This certificate programme is one of a select few which combines magazine journalism with fashion, photography and fashion-based cultural theory. It aims to produce professionals with journalistic expertise and the critical and analytical skills needed to work in magazine journalism and the fashion industry. The course cultivates both a practical and theoretical understanding of fashion and lifestyle journalism in India.
The phenomenal growth of the magazine sector in India in the past years means that the opportunities for those seeking a career in magazine journalism are greater than ever before. Every imaginable subject is covered, from brides to bulldozers. Leisure, celebrity and trade magazines have become more prevalent, but men's and women's magazines are still the most popular options.

The exponential growth of lifestyle publications in India provides ample opportunity for freelance contributions on a range of varied topics.
The course covers writing techniques for news, features, profiles and interviews; teaches innovative journalism for fashion and lifestyle market and provides specialist skills, terminologies and research techniques; candidates also learn to write, pitch and present news and feature ideas to a wide range of fashion and lifestyle publications
