Ultrasound technician courses are available as certificate courses, and they are also offered at the associate's and bachelor's degree levels. Students majoring in diagnostic medical sonography or ultrasound technician training get instruction in how to use ultrasound equipment.Courses. Education. Ultrasound technologists should complete an accredited training program. Depending on the program, it can take anywhere from one to four years to complete.
