KMCT MEDICAL COLLEGE, CALICUT, KERALA is established in the year 2008 after approving permission from the Medical Council of India and Ministry of Health, Government of India. KMCT MEDICAL COLLEGE, A self financing institution run by Kunhitharuvai Memorial Charitable Trust (KMCT) established in 1994 by Dr. K Moidu. Dr. K Moidu is a leading medical practitioner with the support of his children-all of whom are also into the medical profession. The trust is a registered public trust managed by a board of trustees of high public eminence.

KMCT MEDICAL COLLEGE has admitted first batch of 100 Medical students for the academic year 2008-2009, under the University of Calicut, Kerala. Medical course is a five and a half years program includes one year of Compulsory Residential Rotating Internship and follows a curriculum of University of Calicut, Kerala. Medical college started with a 350 Bedded hospital situated within the Campus which caters to the needs of the poor. Students of Medical Courses utilize the facilities of the Hospital for their medical training. Medical College Hospital provides exemplary services in medical care with quality human resources.
Community medicine is the one of the subjects medical students study in their first year Study is an orientation towards protection & Promotion of Public Health. The study of health and disease in the population of defined communities or groups in order to identify their health needs, and to plan, implement, and evaluate health programs to effectively meet these needs.
The Institute provides outreach services through A Rural Health Centre and an Urban Health Centre located in peripheral areas. These centers coordinate various activities such as Health Education Sessions, Disease Screening Programs, School Health Check ups and other Community Welfare Activities.
