The degree programmes in Pre-Primary and Primary Education in the UIC are designed to provide solid professional training to future school teachers interested in working with pre-primary and primary school-aged children (between the ages of 0 to 6 and 6 to 12, respectively) and to initiate a process of ongoing learning.The programmes also aim to help participants develop the personal qualities to facilitate both social and cultural transformation. The main objective of the Degree in Pre-Primary Education is to give this profession the social credibility it deserves.Such an objective entails developing a professional profile with a solid humanistic basis; in other words, it helps teachers transmit cultural values with utter sensitivity, and promotes enthusiasm for working with children, independent working skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude.Students who complete the programme can access the education workforce (the degree is regulated by the Spanish government and is a requirement for all educators) or continue their education by enrolling on a Masters or Doctoral programme (in Spain or any country in the EHEA, the European Higher Education Area).
