Diploma in Anatomy
The college offer number of courses, one of the course is Diploma in Anatomy. The course is offer under the Department of Anatomy.
Anatomy department is established in August 1990 with a goal of providing comprehensive knowledge of the gross & microscopic structure of human body to undergraduate students, to provide a basis for understanding the clinical correlation of organs involved and anatomical basis for the disease presentation.
The department has approximately 700 sq. m. area, including dissection hall, histology practical hall, LCD rooms, staff rooms etc. There is good arrangement for storage and preservation of human dead bodies. Walls of dissection hall are displayed with abundant charts and diagrams of gross anatomy.
There is separate Anatomy Museum where well-dissected specimens are arranged with descriptions, along with clay models of embryology. Also, there is a separate Radiology museum where 150 X-Rays and CT Scan are available to study on 10 big view boxes.
Histology hall is well furnished with good light arrangement & separate microscope for each student, with more than 1700 slides. There is a slide projector for teaching relevant slide on big screen.
Anatomy department conducts weekly Faculty seminars, for up gradation of knowledge of the staff, which is attended by departmental faculty and one of the faculty of other speciality.
There is abundant teaching material like 118 charts, 112 embryology models, 5 video cassettes and other teaching material like OHP, Slide projector etc. in the dept.
The departmental library is rich with 104 books with latest editions & recent anatomy journals. New books are added time to time in library.
Anatomy department conducts 'Body Donation Movement' by arranging lectures, circulating pamphlets to increase awareness of importance of body donation.
