Diploma in Automation Engineering Technology

Description:

The Automation Engineering Technology program prepares diploma graduates to install, calibrate and maintain control systems and instruments used on electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic automation systems. Automation systems will include electronic motion and proximity detectors, limit switches, various transducers to measure pressure, temperature, level and flow, programmable logic controllers, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic motors, wireless transceivers, conveyor systems, pumps, and computer and robotic systems. Graduates will be employed in telecommunications, production, design engineering and manufacturing, power generation and distribution, hospitals or they may be self-employed. The role of the automation technologist is to work with other technologists and engineers in the fabrication, installation, testing, evaluation, operation, modification and design of complex control systems and equipment.


Transfer Options:

Student can have the option to transfer to Cambrian College, Canada for the fifth and sixth semester, on successful completion of first four semesters at MIIT Pollachi.
