Diploma Course IN JAPANESE

The Diploma course in Japanese will be offered to the students who have already attained an elementary knowledge of the language and should have passed certificate examination (a minimum of 100 hours of teaching) or an equivalent examination in Japanese language.

THE COURSE AIMS AT :

1) Reinforcing, further strengthening and developing the language skills in listening, understanding, speaking, reading and writing to an intermediate level.
2) Giving the learner the ability to use the grammatical structure and essential vocabulary of a minimum of 300 words in addition to the earlier vocabulary acquired by the learner and shall include elementary idiomatic expressions.
3) Exposing the learner to the culture and civilization of Japan as an implicit part of the contents of the course. Students are also expected to acquire proficiency in Japanese that will be good enough to pass level 3 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test

Two hours of class room instruction for a period of 75 days which would be 150 hours at the end of the course supported by a reasonable amount of tutorials and homework.
