Electronics and Communication is an ever growing field, in today’s information world .The Electronics and Communication Department in MVJCE was established in Year 1982, from then it slowly shaped into a department with perfection in the arena of electronics and communication Engineering.

M.Tech in Digital Electronics and Communication is a next level in pursuing excellence in the department.M.Tech in Digital Electronics and Communication aims to provide a comprehensive education at par with excellence in the area of Information and Communication with well qualified professors with decades of experience in the field of teaching and industry. Under this PG Course latest technologies like wireless communication, embedded system, advanced digital communication, CMOS, VLSI Design, Logic circuits, computer communication, Multirate Systems and Filter Banks, Advances in VLSI Design,Advanced Computer Networks, Cryptography and Network Security, Multimedia Communication,Model and Simulation of data Networks are covered.

The department has a several software tools like Matlab, Microwind, Cadence tools,for VLSI design, Keil Software, LabView to impart state of the art technologies, in electronics and communication engineering. The department also have hardware Laboratories for analog Communication, Microwave Digital Communication, Logic Design and Digital signal processing.

The department offers student projects in interaction with industry to provide quality projects using current technologies for present . futuristic needs of commercial, social and national requirements.

The department stands tall in the Research & Development activities with established Virtual Instrumentation Research &Development Labs.The department also has with m/s Trident Tech Labs in building a real time application oriented project using Lab View. The ROBOCLUB is an outstanding achievement by the department; it has won several prizes in Robotic Competition all over India, from premier institutes like IIT, Anna University, VTU, etc.
