DACA
The course-Diploma in Advanced Computer Arts (DACA) focuses on the creative and technical aspects of multimedia application development. It includes the following three modules:
· Multimedia Content Creation
· Multimedia Interactive Application Development
· Multimedia Web Page Creation
Various forms of animation and their applications are introduced and practiced using 2D and 3D animation tools. 3D modeling and rendering is explored for architectural and industrial visualisation. Image editing tools are used for illustration and effects. Multimedia devices like a Scanner, Audio Card, MPEG Encoder and a VCR are used for digitisation. Multimedia presentations and CD ROM Titles are compared and studied for understanding the linear and non linear multimedia. Interactive applications are developed with the help of authoring templates. Internet and Web Page Designing is introduced in the final module which covers Web content creation, organisation of information and HTML scripting. The course is designed for Fine Artists, Designers, Architects, Video Film Producers and Media Professionals.

The course also prepares students who wish to pursue the Diploma in Advanced Computer Arts (DACA), offered by C-DAC. DMC enables students from non-Design and non-Fine Arts backgrounds to qualify for the Common Entrance Test (CET) of DACA. The course curriculum covers a wide variety of publishing media such as print, electronic, digital multimedia and web.
