Department of Radio-diagnosis AMU, Aligarh, begins its journey in 1967, with the appointment of only faculty as Reader, 5 years after establishment of the J.N. Medical college and hospital. This was an year of struggle for one faculty facing all the brunt. His efforts made the way for appointment of two more lecturers and one clinical Registrar in 1969, followed by one Professor in 1973. Those were the days when Radiology was not a very demanding specialty in Medical Science. We, also at the beginning of our journey moved with only four X-ray machines of 500 mA and 200mA.

Continued efforts by the faculty members and supports from the university administration has made us to move with pace and thus we reached to present shape. To provide best health care and training and complying the market needs, department is fully equipped and fulfilling the needs of patients with upgraded facilities and 5 faculties at different position. We now have the following machines:
