Description
Doaba college Jalandhar was founded on 1st January, 1941 by great philanthropists and educationists like Sh. Bindraban Sondhi, Rai Bahadur Badri Dass and Sh. Jagan Nath Mittal. Since then the institution has done a remarkable service to the people of Doaba region earlier under the able guidance of eminent industrialist and educationalist Seth Satya Paul and nationalist freedom fighter, Sh. Virendra. Now it has touched the new heights of the glory under the dynamic leadership of Sh. Chander Mohan, President Arya Shiksha Mandal and College Managing Committee. The college has been accredited with A+ grade by NAAC (National Assessment & Accreditation Council).
The college is situated on the Tanda Road, about half a kilometer from the railway station, as about the same distance from G.T. Road, bypass to Amritsar and within a few minutes walk from the business and industrial quarters of the city. The major emphasis in this institution is on character building, moulding and shaping its students so as to make them useful to themselves and the nation. This institution aims at making excellent students who will constitute the nation of tommorrow.
