BE in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

The Electronics & Communication engineering curriculum provides a wide perspective of the field of Electronics & Communication and allows the student to either pursue the post graguation degree or to join some good industries/organization who are mentoring the electronics field.

The Electronics & Communication department was established in the year 2001 with an intake of 60 student. Because of the demand and popularity of the stream the intake in increased to 120.

Curriculum:The department curriculum is based on the Nagpur university syllabus. The curriculum for the 1st year of the course is same for all branches. The diversity of the curriculum becomes evident from 3rd semester onwards. The course consists of sufficient coverage of all major fields of Engineering including the subjects like Electrical Engineering. Elect. devices and circuits, Network theory, digital circuits, linear intergrated circuits, signal and systems, line comm. and Communication Electronics, Computer organization, Control System Engg. Microprocessor and Micro controller etc.

The final two semester (7th and 8th) are mostly devoted to latest and well known topics in electronics and communication engineering such as TV engineering, digital communication, Digital Signal Processing, Satellite Communication, Electronics Communication,System Designing, Adv. Microprocessors and Peripherals, Mobile Communication, Optical Communication, Computer Communication Network, etc. The faculty encourage the students to follow any areas of their choice.

The alumnae of past two batches are well placed in reputed organization in India like infosys, L&T infotech, TCS, Satyam, Wipro, Foursoft Software, Persistent, etc. Fewof them are also joined to overseas organizations. Some of the them are pursuing masters degree (like M.Tech., MBA & MS) in India and Abroad. Some of the present final year studentshave already been selected in campus interview conducted by L&T infotech Mumbai, Satyam Computer Services Hyderabad, Foursoft Software Ltd., Hydrerabad, Persistent Systems Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur, Systime Computer Services (CMS Group) Mumbai etc.

The department has produred useful software packages such as VHDL, MATLAB, TINA, etc. In the same ways the laboratories are equipped with Hardware Kits and instruments to make laboratories very useful to the students not only for practical purcoses but also it helps in doing research work at undergraduate level. The following laboratories are established and are well equipped as per the curriculum requirements.
