Linus Dahlander is an associate professor with tenure at ESMT Berlin. He is also the holder of the Lufthansa Group Chair in Innovation. Linus teaches classes for MBAs, EMBAs, executives as well as PhD students on innovation, entrepreneurship, and networks. He is also a consultant and advisor to startups, large multinationals as well as government organizations on issues around innovation and networks. He was recognized as one of the Best 40 Under 40 Professors by Poets & Quants in 2017.

Christoph Burger is a senior lecturer at ESMT Berlin. Before joining ESMT, he worked five years in industry at Otto Versand and as vice president at the Bertelsmann Buch AG, five years at consulting practice Arthur D. Little, and five years as independent consultant focusing on private equity financing of SMEs. His research focus is in the energy sector/ innovation/ blockchain and decision making/ negotiation. Christoph studied business administration at the University of Saarbrücken (Germany), the Hochschule St. Gallen (Switzerland), and economics at the University of Michigan (USA).

Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior

Gianluca is an associate professor (with tenure) of organizational behavior who joined ESMT Berlin in 2016. Previously he was an associate professor of organization and management at the University of Lugano and an assistant professor at Bocconi University. He holds a PhD in Social and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Amsterdam. His research interests revolve around the analysis of inter- and intra-organizational networks, with particular regard to the generation and recombination of technological knowledge.

Joe Peppard is a visiting professor at ESMT Berlin and Principal Research Scientist, Center for Information Systems Research at MIT Sloan School of Management. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor at the University of South Australia. With his reference discipline in information systems, Joe researches, teaches, and consults in the domains of IT leadership, digital strategy and innovation, the execution of digital transformation programs, and in the role, structure, and capabilities of the IT unit in contemporary organ izations.

Associate Dean of Executive Education at ESMT Berlin

Prof. Konstantin Korotov joined ESMT Berlin in August 2005. He received his tenure in 2011 and has been a professor of organizational behavior and dean of executive education since 2018. He is the director of the ESMT Center for Leadership Development Research, which he co-founded with Prof. Manfred Kets de Vries. Konstantin received his PhD in Management (Organizational Behavior) at INSEAD. In addition to his academic work, he has over 20 years of practical management and leadership development experience in Europe, Asia, Middle East and the Americas.

Olaf Plötner is a professor at ESMT Berlin. He joined ESMT as one of the first faculty members and managing director of ESMT Customized Solutions GmbH in 2002. From 2008 to 2017, he was the dean of executive education at ESMT and developed the school to a top-ten institution in this field, based on the global ranking of Financial Times. Olaf is a visiting professor at Darden School of Business, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and CELAP Shanghai. Olaf also worked as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Frankfurt and as a director at Siemens AG in Boston.

Ulf Schäfer is a program director at ESMT Berlin. He studied Philosophy, Mathematics, Logic and Theory of Science in Bonn, Knoxville, and Berkeley as well as Business Administration in Rotterdam and London (Canada). Ulf was a lecturer of Philosophy at Bonn University, a strategy consultant with A.T. Kearney, he co-founded the Launch Group, a manager at DaimlerChrysler and the director and head of Strategy Consulting at Sapient.
