Description
Life Saving Society of India is a Public Charitable Trust and the Indian Member of International Life Saving Federation (ILS) dedicated to Save Lives from land or water. Nationally the Society is into training & certification of Life Savers, Life Guards, First Aid, CPR & Trauma Management, Aquatic and Non-Aquatic Disaster Management, various Watercraft & Power craft training, rescue diving, search & rescue from various scenarios, adventure tourism handling, water sports training and also training in various vocational trades which may support a human Life.
Under our different departments of work, we do various projects and programmes like, Wild Life and Conservation of Eco-systems, Environmental Studies and its protection, Women Empowerment and Child Welfare.
We have been training the entire National Disaster Response Force (all 12 NDRF Bns.) since its inception in 2005 in various Aquatic Disasters specifically in our developed courses like Flood Relief & Rescue Management (FR&RMC), Aquatic Disaster Response Course (ADRC), Rescue Diving (SCUBA), Swift Water Search & Rescue, Rescue Diving, etc. (Till date we have trained more than 26,000 NDRF trainees; 8,000 State Forces and others). We are also entrusted by the various State Governments and are in the process of training their State Police Forces, Civil Defence and State Youth Volunteers to work during disasters like Flood, Tsunami & Cyclone, Boat Disaster, etc. We have already provided training to various forces in the states of Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, etc. We are also accredited under Sports Sector Skill Council and Power Sector Skill Council under NSDC, Ministry of Skill Development, Govt. of India. LSSI is also a member of National Safety Council (NSC), Govt. of India.
