The present Post Graduate Department of Commerce owes its origin to the Department of Commerce, NEHU, Nagaland Campus which was established in the year 1981. Besides Post Graduate teaching, the Department is offering Doctoral research programmes. The Department is striving hard for imparting higher education in Commerce and has taken steps to update the course curriculum keeping in view of the development in Commerce education.

The course offers Master of Commerce programme of two year duration. There are four papers in each semester and sixteen papers in total during the programme
