M.D. in Kulliyat

This very important descipline is the back bone of Unani Medicine. Niether the Physician nor the pharmacist could offer to neglect its core dynamics. It contains all the basic principles of Physiological and therapeuical aspects of Unani Medicine.

The department of Kulliyat was established in 1985-86. Earlier it was merged in one single Department of Unani Tibb & Surgery, A.K. Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University. This is the first & the only PG Department of Kulliyat in India.

The Strength of department is concentrated in three broad areas of fundamentals of Unani Medicine, Ilmul Amraz (Pathology) and basic sciences for Pre-Tibb (Premedical) courses. Highly significant research work has been carried out in the areas of Mijaj (Temperaments), Akhlaat (Body fluid) and applied Kulliyat besides other areas in which sustaintial work has also been done.
