After the establishment of Goa University, the Department of English had the opportunity of streamlining the syllabi by introducing new courses related to modern British Literature, Commonwealth Literature and Literary Criticism. Moreover, it thoroughly revised the conventional courses in tune with the latest developments in the field of literature and literary criticism
