M.Phil: Computer Science

The Kuvempu University offers M.Phil: Computer Science course to its students. The course structure for it is as follows:

t has an excellent infrastructure equipped with modern teaching aids like LCD over head projects. It has computer laboratories equipped with 60 computers with necessary accessories. The department possesses good collection of books & good teaching staff. The department trains students to fulfill the current needs of software companies. The main objective is to prepare the students with good skills, which are essential for software companies and educational institutions.

The department is actively engaged in research in the areas of computer graphics, mobile communications, digital image processing & pattern recognition i.e., design of algorithm for character recognition, face recognition, document analysis 3D object recognition. Also, the department has organized international conference on human machine interfaces-2004 jointly Touch lab, Massachusetts Institute of technology, Cambridge, USA during December 2004. The students of the department are well placed in academic, administrative and software industries.
