M.Phil in Computer Science
The faculty members of NCICS are involved in various research projects, both funded and non-funded. Dr RK Tuteja has been working with various AICTE sponsored research projects. He is the main research guide of project on Reliability of Computer Systems Project in which there are some senior faculty members of NC College of Engineering are also involved.
Some faculty members are working on PhD Project on Computer Security and Network Security in which they are trying to develop some new Cryptographic techniques of securing the informtion on the internet and network.
Most of the faculty members have already completed their MPhil Projects in areas like Database Management Systems, Network Routing Protocols, Mobile Adhoc Networks, Data Warehouses, Packet Sending Protocols and Software Quality and Software Engineering. These research works were actively guided by Dr RK Tuteja (Director-Academics) and Akhileshwar Parsad (Director).
In the process of these research pursuits, faculty members have developed some new theories, written new papers and presented few of them in various International/National Workshops/Conferences/Seminars.
Other than this NCICS organizes AICTE Sponsored National Level Seminars on topics related to Computer and Information Technology every year. In these Seminars organizations of National repute like DRDO, PUSA Institute of Research, NDRI, Industry members from Infosys, Informatica, Kaene India, Wipro. TCS and other goverment organizations also participate.
PROJECTS
The faculty has undertook various projects under the R&D Cell and Consultancy Cell. The projects are from the sister institutes, AICTE sponsored projects and other consultancy projects based on Comuter, reliablity and other aspects of computing. The Professors of the Institute take keen interest in identifying the projects and consultancy work and is undertaken with the support of faculty and staff members.
