About this course
Candidates belonging to following categories are eligible to register for Full-time M.Phil. programme:
i. Candidates with 55% of marks and above in the PG degree in the concerned or related discipline. For SC / ST candidates, 50% of marks in PG course is sufficient.
ii. Candidates with 55% of marks and above in the PG degree in the concerned or related discipline and working as Full-time Research Assistants in time-bound Research schemes of one year duration or more in the University Departments, Research Departments of Affiliated Colleges / Recognized Research Institutes.

Course programme
Candidates who are selected and admitted should get themselves registered for the M.Phil programme. The registration will be done in 1st August and 1st January every year subject to the condition that the candidate so registered, shall be permitted to appear for Part I examination only after completing the minimum period of 6 months, in the case of full-time registration and 12 months in the case of part-time registration.
