This M.Sc. program is sponsored by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi offering courses on Introductory Biotechnology, Structure, Function & Metabolism of Biomolecules, Cell Biology, General & Applied Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Theory & Applications of Biotechniques, Immunology & Animal Cell Culture, Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture, Fermentation Technology, Genetic Engineering, Enzymology & Enzyme Technology, Molecular Genetics, Application of Biotechnology in food, Introduction to Bioinformatics, Agricultural Biotechnology & IPR, Environmental Biotechnology, Medical Biotechnology. The students have to undergo a 4 to 6 weeks of In Plant/ Summer Training in various Institutes/ Industries during summer vacations of the first year. A 14 to 16 weeks of Investigation Problem during the 4th semester forms an integral part of the program.This course also offers specialisation in Fermentation Technology.
