M.Sc. Physics: Computational Physics
The Department of Applied Physics offers M.Sc. (Physics) Programme which is admittedly going to cater to the needs of ever increasing application oriented world of the day. Three emerging areas of basic as well as applied aspect of Physics are in the present curricula. They are Condensed Matter Physics & Materials Science, that has widespread application from biosciences to cosmology; Laser Physics, that forms a major tool for determining electronic structures starting from biomolecules, non-linear optical materials to organic dyes; and Computational Physics that bridges the gap between theory & experiment.Apart from these three specializations all other subject matters have large overlap with the thrust areas in the frontiers of physical sciences. Laboratories are equipped with the modern set up.
