Course programme

The two year M.Sc. programme in Food Processing Technology was started in August, 2006 and has the unique distinction of being the only programme of its kind in the entire Northeast India. The first batch passed out in July, 2008.

The M.Sc. programme is intensive and the syllabus has incorporated core courses covering all areas of food technology and allied subjects as well as elective courses on technologies for processing various foods. A distinctive feature of the programme is the inclusion of courses on the application of electronics in food processing not generally found in many food technology curriculums.
