Semester I Classical Sociological Traditions, Perspective in Indian Sociology, Methodology of Social Research, Sociology of Change and Development.
Semester II Indian Society, Structure and Change, Theoretical Perspective of Sociology, Comparative Sociology, Practicals.
Semester III Political Sociology, Rural Society in India, Urban Society in India, Globalization and Society.
Semester IV Social Demography, Sociology of Religion, Industry and Society in India, Gender and Society, Sociology of Education, Ethnicity Pluralism and Nation, Dissertation.
Four papers are to be selected. Out of these Dissertation will be offered by only those students who have got more then 60% marks in the first two semesters.
