M.TECH IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

The Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering offers general engineering courses with detailed exposure to Engineering Drawings, Thermal Engineering (Thermodynamics and Heat Power, IC engines, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning and Heat and Mass Transfer). General workshop theory and practices (operation and Maintenance of machine tools, metal cuttings, welding etc.), Kinematics of machine and Machine Design in mechanical engineering and basic Electrical Technology, Instrumentation and Electronics and Rural Electrification in Electrical engineering.
The department has well equipped laboratories and workshops to cater the needs of the students.
The department also offers courses in management like Industrial Organisation, Industrial engineering and Operations Research etc. The workshop of the department is a nodal centre for the fabrication of various types of models and prototypes as a part of project works and Research works.
Each department has its own computer centre with a number of PC-ATs in LAN environment for specific use of students and faculty members.
