M.Tech. (I.C.Technology)

The School of Physics has developed high quality study programs at the M.Sc., M. Tech. and M.Phil levels with a student-teacher ratio highly favourable towards providing individual attention. The School has vigorous ongoing research programmes in many areas to train Ph.D. scholars and has achieved national and international recognition in the areas of Condensed Matter Physics, High Energy physics, Laser Physics, Material Science, Quantum Optics and Solid State Physics. The School has been selected by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to strengthen its teaching and research programmes through the Special Assistance Programme (SAP-CAS) and COSIST; the Department of Science and Technology (DST) has provided support under the FIST program. The school is also one of the nine National Centers of Theoretical Physics Seminar Circuit (TPSC) supported by the DST.

M.Tech. (I.C.Technology)

This four semester program has two semesters of course work and two semesters of project work. The curriculum consists of theory & laboratory courses covering Semiconductor Physics, Digital Systems design, Special IC design (such as DSP), RF / Microwave IC's, IC Fabrication techniques, MEMS, Nano-devices, Integrated Optics and Computer Simulation techniques. (2 semesters of project work).

Designed to impart broad based knowledge in Integrated Circuit Technology covering all cutting edge technology aspects involving design, fabrication & numerical techniques. (project work in last two semesters)
