Mechanical Engineering works closely with the manufacturing industry to
give its students a combination of real world exposure with sound
academic grounding. Courses offered train students in thermal and fluids
engineering by using experimental test rigs. Design-related aspects of
the course are taught through models and computer-based packages.
Manufacturing and industrial engineering concepts are imparted through
project work.
Project Assignments:
-Design and fabrication of SCARA Robot arm
-Investigation on Nano coated cutting tools. (with support of DST)
-CFD analysis of 2 wheeler wind shield for performance enhancement
-Computer aided design of 2 wheeler alloy wheels
-Computer aided generation of production drawings
-Design and fabrication of intelligent bug for fire hazards
-Design and fabrication of spy robot for detections
-Design and fabrication of AGV
-Projects assigned to students are completed in collaboration with renowned companies like NSTL, Vizag Steel, NTPC, ARCI to name a few.
