Rabindra Bharti University under dapartment of Arts offers BA Honours, MA, BEd, BEd Spl Course, BLISc, MLISc, MPhil and PhD in Bengali,Economics, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science and Sanskrit.

MA in English is offered by the faculty of arts, The duration of the course is 2 years and Students seeking admission to the MA course in Bengali, Economics, Education, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science or Sanskrit must be an honours graduate (800 marks) in the relevant subject. A graduate with Tirtha or equivalent thereto may also apply for admission to the M.A. course in Sanskrit but he must qualify in a test for the purpose. An Hons. graduate with B.Ed. may also apply for admission to the M.A. course in Education. The candidates who are already M.A. from Rabindra Bharati University and intend to do a second M.A. therefrom under the Faculty of Arts as external candidates would be required qualify in a test to be conducted by the department concerned.
