Juhari Devi Girls' P.G. College is one of the most premium girls' institution established by the famous industrialist Sir Padampat Singhania (J.K.Group) in the memory of his maternal grand mother, Smt. Juhari Devi. He visualised a dream for the future generation of India and materialised it by sowing the seed in the form of this institution which has blossomed in to a giant tree. The foundation stone was laid by illustrious Dr. Vijay Laxmi Pandit who visited the college in 1967 again to bless the progressing sapling.

The college was recognised as a degree college on 11 July 1963. It is a pioneer institution with the sole aim of providing higher education to girls only. with a initial start in 5 subjects English, Economics, Hindi, Sociology and Political Science at under graduate level, it was affiliated to Agra University. the post graduate programme added a feather on the cap in the year 1967 in five subjects Hindi, Sanskrit, Drawing & Painting, Music (Vocal & Sitar) and Psychology. subsequently with the inception of Kanpur University, the college was affiliated to CSJM University, Kanpur. In the year 2001, Home Science got its Postgraduate affiliation in the college under Self Finance Scheme.
