Master in Library and Information Science

The Department of Library and Information Science is one of the Department in North Maharashtra University. This Department of Library and Information Science was established on year 2000.
The Department of library and Information Science was under consideration of the University to be established as a part of educational program to cater the needs of education in Library and Information Science under the faculty of Mental, Moral and Social Sciences.

The main objectives of the M. Lib. & I. Sc. are,

To cater the educational needs of professionals.


To prepare a manpower to meet the future needs of profession.


To improve the professional skills of librarians, information scientists, documentationalists and non-academic institution/organizations.
