Master of Business Economics (M.B.E.)

This programme of the Department is made up of distinct but complementary groups, which recognize the interrelationship between, and the high degree of synergy within, the disciplines of Business and Economics. The programme aims at preparing graduates for economic analysis and policy formulation. Through the use of state-of-art teaching pedagogy students are required to examine government and business reports, magazines and newspaper articles and monographs/journals dealing with contemporary economic issues. Development of skills includes training to use simple micro and macro economics tools of reasoning.

The M.B.E. Programme is a combination of courses related to commerce, management and economics with a further emphasis on statistics, mathematics and computer application together with business ethics and stress management. This is a course which contributes in some direct and substantial way to one's expertise as a business person, executive or business economist will be very useful for the research and development of large industrial houses for policy formation and day to day operation.

Admission is offered to 30 candidates for his two year programme Admission shall be offered on the basis of merit.

Eligibility

48 percent marks in aggregate at graduate level.
