Master of Computer Application

During the last academic year local area network was established in the different laboratories through which all the computers were interconnected through the network so that the students sit on any terminal can access the full resources of various computers, servers, different environments, printers etc.
This is also connected to the various laboratories network and as many as 30-40 students can work on it through the various terminals connected to this computer with the help of Local Area Network.
The Department interacted with the IBM Corp. USA and persuaded them to conduct their world famous Certification Programme in Software Technology in this Department. This Department is the first in the state to take advantage of this and 88 numbers of students were awarded internationally accepted certificate by the IBM Corp. USA. The courses were conducted for duration of 3 weeks beyond the regular teaching hours in this Department and were totally free of cost.
The Department received the licensed copies of the software worth over Rs. 40.00 Lakhs from the IBM Corp, USA totally free of cost. These software are DB2, which is world class large Data Base Application, WSAD (Web Sphere Studio Application Developer) for developing Internet based application and WAS (Web Application Server) for hosting the Internet Application. The Department received 10 licensed copies for each of the above, and students are making full use of these in the laboratories.
