Master of Science in Information Technology (M Sc IT)

Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences, Gangtok was incorporated under the State Legislative Act (Act IX of 1995) by the government of Sikkim and is recognized by the Ministry of Human Resources Development and the University Grants Commission Section 2(f). The University is offering distant education program in association with Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and Manipal IT Education as a part of its efforts to bring education to the masses and fulfill the growing demand of software professionals.

Breaking through the barriers of time, space and faculties. Manipal IT Education provides and interactive distance learning solution, using VSAT satellite technology. VSAT is a small, software driven equipment for the reliable transmission of data, voice or audio via satellite. Students can see and hear the teacher, ask and answer questions and communicate with other students in real time of his/her own PC or on a TV screen in the class.

SMU has recognized VAG Infotech Computer Education and Training Center as the University Center for conducting a number of courses.
