Course programme

This department was established in 1984 and with time it has earned the recognition as one of the top Computer Science & Engg. programs in the UP. The department offers B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering. Besides B.Tech., the department is also runing Master of Computer Application (MCA). The department has also started M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering and is the first in offering this PG programme among UP Govt. aided Engineering Institutions.

The Department has a number of laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art computing facilities to support the research and teaching activities especially in areas of Mobile Computing/Databases, Computer Networking etc. A departmental library with about 500 books on Computer Science for the exclusive use of the faculty and students is located in the premises of the Department.

The following are the major research areas of the faculty members:

* graphics and visualization
* information security
* networking, operating systems, and distributed systems
* programming languages and compilers
* software engineering
* theory of computing and algorithms

Our faculty and staff strive for preeminence in creating and disseminating new knowledge on computing and prepare students to be leaders in computer science & engineering.


The College offers full time M.Tech. programmes in Civil, Electrical , Electronics & Communication, Mechanical and Computer Sc. & Engineering Departments.
The duration of the M.Tech. programme is 2 years (4 semesters). The first and second semesters of this programme contains the course work while the third and fourth semesters are devoted solely to thesis work. The students are required to submit a dissertation in partial fulfillment of the requirement for the master's degree at the end of fourth semester.
