Masters of Medical Electronics Engineering

The Medical Electronics under graduate programme in BMS college of Engineering is a four year full time degree course affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, recognized by government of Karnataka and approved by AICTE New Delhi. The department was established in the year of 1992 with an admission intake of 30. The department aims to develop Medical Electronics engineers to take up conceptual and developmental activities in the areas of Medical instrumentation. The Department has well qualified and experienced with dedicated faculty. The department is well equipped with Laboratories. The Department has obtained funds from AICTE for the project “Signal And Image Processing” under MODROB Scheme in the year of 2002.The department conducted a national level workshop on advances in Biomedical Engineering on 16th September 2006. The Department has got University ranks in the last four consecutive years. The students are placed in the MNCs like GE, Wipro, Infosys, L&T, and Siemens etc. The department also formed a students Association called “Medical Electronics Association”. Seminars, Students Technical Fest etc are organized under the activities of Medical Electronics Association.
