PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
PIBS offers two-year full time management programme to equip students with business fundamentals, develop managerial skill sets and foster attitudes that are essential for students to develop into competent business leaders. The programme presents multiple learning opportunities through interactions with faculties, business leaders & peers and use of innovative pedagogy. PIBS offers a two-year full time dual degree programme with specializations being Marketing, Finance & HR.

COURSE OVERVIEW FIRST YEAR

The first year curriculum and pedagogy is designed with the objective of providing students the basics of business fundamentals across all key areas like marketing, finance, operations, human resource management, information technology and systems etc. First year programme is common across all the specialisations as the focus here is on development of business fundamentals that are applicable across functions/sectors/ industries/businesses.

INDUSTRIAL INTERNSHIP

To build the bridge between theory and practice, students are required to spend 6 - 8 weeks on a summer project between the 1st and the 2nd year of the programme. Industrial Internship aims to widen the student's perspective by providing an exposure to real life organizational and environmental situations. It is an opportunity for the students to directly involve themselves in the experience and hence develop better understanding of the practical challenges & implications thereby retaining the information for a longer time.

SECOND YEAR

The students in second year are offered a choice to select subjects from the basket of Marketing, Finance and Human Resources. The final specialisation of the student will depend on his choice of subjects.

On successful completion of and on clearing all requisite internal and university exams, candidates will be awarded:
Post Graduate Programme from PIBS & an
UGC approved MBA degree from Punjab Technical University
