Course programme

The programme prepares candidates for management careers in industry and services. It is a two years full time programme, affiliated to Barkatullah University, Bhopal, approved by AICTE, New Delhi and recognised by Government of Madhya Pradesh. The students meeting the programme requirements are awarded the Master’s Degree in Business Management (MBA) from Barkatullah University, Bhopal. The programme prepares the students to take up multiple responsibilities and energizes them for the fast - track performance expected of them. It emphasizes the development of student’s skills and abilities to apply management theories and concept to live problems in business and industry. It also enables students to acquire skills in identifying and dealing with complex problems in management. Students undertake field based projects so that they can get better insight into the business workplace reality.The programme is spread over four semesters (two years). Thirty courses are offered during this period. The first two semesters offer core courses encompassing various managerial functions, essential for managers to develop into future business partners. The third semester focus on a mix of core courses and specialization on any one from Marketing, Human Resource, Finance and Information Technology. The last semester focus on electives to choose from Retail Management, International Business, Small Business and Entrepreneurship Development, Event Management.The programme is ‘learning oriented and not ‘teaching oriented’. It is interactive and participative involving fieldwork, case studies, business games, role-plays, group discussions, presentations, and structures and unstructured group work. (
