MCA

MCA is a three year program and was established in the year 1997 with a sanctioned student intake of 15. The current intake of the program is 60. The program is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Bangalore University.

The educational objectives of the MCA program at AIMS is to enable the students have a holistic and all round grooming to be a thorough professional in the field of IT. The students are trained to have a sound foundation in the fundamentals of computer technology, a high level of practical skill in the use of that technology and at the same time, be sensitive to the issues prevailing in the society. The Alumni of the department are all well placed in top positions of the major IT companies in India and abroad.

The department has well qualified and experienced faculty members to handle the various subjects of the Master's program. The department is ably headed by Dr. Sudeshna Das Gupta, a Post Doctorate in C.Sc. The department has produced 2 University Ranks and on an average, 90% of the students pass out with Distinction every year.
