The college offers number of courses, one of the course is MD in Pharmacology. The course is recognize by the Medical Council of India. This course is offer by the Department of Pharmacology. The duration of the degree course is 3 years and the mode of selection for this course is entrance tests conducted by All India and state level. The Deptt of Pharmacology of AMC started functioning in 1948.Dr.P.N.Taneja, Prof of Medicine was the Professor-in-Charge pf the Deptt and Dr.M.N.Bahttacharyya was the Asstt Prof the Deptt.The present Building of the Deptt was constructed in the year 1951.The first batch of students appeared in Pharmacology in May 1955 and Dr.R.Goswami took over.The P.G tranning and research in the deptt of pharmacology commenced in 1965.
