MD in Pharmacy

Pharmacy is the art and science of preparing and dispensing medications and the provision of drug-related information to the public. It involves the interpretation of prescription orders; the compounding, labeling, and dispensing of drugs and devices; drug product selection and drug utilization reviews; patient monitoring and intervention; and the provision of cognitive services related to the use of medicine and devices.

The same applies to the Ayurvedic Pharmacy, with some changes in the instruments and apparatus. The Teaching Pharmacy is attached to the Dept. of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana. The Pharmacy measures 1750 Sq.ft. with adequate space for - 1) Receiving and storing raw material
2) Manufacturing process
3) Finished goods store.

The finished goods are used in the Hospital attached to the College. Around 150 different formulations are manufactured according to the requirement of the Hospital. Experienced and skilled technical staff carries out the processes according to the Master Formulae. The Pharmacy is well equipped with machinery like Pulverizer, grinder, wet grinder, Tableting machine, muffle furnace. The preparations include powders, pills, applications, bhasma, and many more.
