The goals of postgraduate training is to train B.D.S. graduates who will:
v Practice specialty efficiently and effectively, backed by scientific knowledge and skill.
v Exercise empathy and a caring attitude and maintain high ethical standards.
v Continue to evince keen interest in continuing professional education in the specialty
and allied specialties irrespective of whether in teaching or practice.
v Willing to share the knowledge and skill with any leaner, junior or a colleague.
Objectives:-
The objective is to train a candidate so as to ensure high degree of competence in both
general and special area of interest and prepare him for a career in teaching, research and
specialty practice. A candidate must achieve a high degree of clinical proficiency in the subject
matter and develop competence in research and its methodology.
